Join our Campaign Team!

Among the thousands of bus and subway riders who make up Riders Alliance — one of New York’s most powerful, winningest advocacy organizations — are a core group of dedicated, active members who make up our Campaign Team.

Campaign Team members meet monthly to take a deeper dive into our campaigns, discuss and drive strategy, and help lead rider organizing activities (everything from public speaking, testifying at rallies, meeting facilitation, art building, and more!) You’ll meet great people and get trained in valuable advocacy skills along the way!

Campaign Team members: 

• Meet monthly to help shape our goals and organizing strategy, get campaign updates, and policy discussions (virtually and in-person)
• Participate in advocacy trainings to build skills like public speaking, understanding state and city government, testifying at hearings, and lobbying elected officials
• Have unique opportunities to participate in, and help lead meetings with elected officials and other allies in the transit movement
• Commit to attending at least six Riders Alliance events annually in addition to our monthly meeting
• Learn a ton along the way about how to improve our city’s buses and subways while building community with other New Yorkers committed to transit justice
