Thanks to thousands of riders organizing to demand it, we’ve won a commitment from the NYC Council to find free transit for riders who currently qualify for Fair Fares — great! But we aren’t done yet.
Now, we’re working to keep up the pressure on City Hall and win an increase to Fair Fares eligibility so New Yorkers earning up to 300% of the federal poverty level ($48,880 for individuals or $99,000 for a family of four) can qualify for half-price fares.
Sign up to rally with us on Wednesday, May 6 at 9:00am on the steps of City Hall before heading inside to testify at 10:00am before the elected leaders who have the power to deliver free and half-price transit to over 2 million New Yorkers!
