Congestion pricing has already been won and remains firmly as law. However, a small but growing group, The Opposition to Congestion Pricing Coalition, is organizing to repeal and defeat the common sense plan to finally fix the subway that we won together.
The Opposition to Congestion Pricing Coalition is planning a rally at Tramway Park Plaza on March 12 featuring congestion pricing detractors including Council Members Joe Borelli, Vickie Paladino, Bob Holden, Kalman Yeger, and others.
To show our strength, we are organizing a counterprotest to peacefully and effectively drown out the noise from those who would do away with our single path to the accessible, reliable, and expanded transit system we deserve.
Join us on Sunday, March 12! We’ll meet at 1:30pm at the southeast corner of Lexington Ave and E. 60th St and march together to Tramway Park Plaza by 1:45pm.
Bring your pro-congestion pricing, #FixtheSubway signs! And we’ll bring a few for you too! Together we’ll peacefully march, chant, and defend congestion pricing from the few, loud opponents of the program who serve only to promote car-dependency and climate denial from their positions of power.
