We’re one month into Governor Hochul’s illegal congestion pricing “pause” and we’re already seeing the disastrous effects as MTA suspends $16.5B worth of new transit projects.
Not only that, but without congestion pricing, MTA budget shortfalls are also likely to lead to operating expenses being trimmed, passed along to riders, or both!
Last month, we showed up in record numbers at MTA HQ to show the Governor that New Yorkers aren’t playing. This month, we’ll turn out again to demand that the Governor start congestion pricing to protect our bus and subway service and avert unplanned fare hikes!
Join us at MTA HQ on Wednesday, July 31 to voice your support for congestion pricing and remind Governor Hochul that we aren’t going away until the cameras turn on.
We’re rallying outside MTA HQ at 8am, heading inside the building at 8:25 to register, and testifying starting at 9AM.
