Riders have rallied, testified, canvassed, and organized for years to secure the nation’s first congestion pricing program. Chances are, if you’re reading this you know Governor Hochul has spent the past 3 months hiding from riders after announcing an “indefinite pause” weeks before the program was to start, costing New Yorkers hundreds of millions in revenue and effectively canceling $16.5B in transit improvements.
And while the Governor may think she’s above the law and can arbitrarily decide to suspend legislation on a whim, we’re confident the courts will uphold the rule of law and compel her to flip the switch.
On Friday, September 27, riders will have our day in court and put an end to Governor Hochul’s illegal political stunt. Join us for a final show of rider power outside the courthouse to mark what will be a historic day for millions of New Yorkers!
